Hosting cPanel – Creating Subdomain and Redirection

As you expand the content of your web site, you will be adding more and more web pages to it. Creating subdomains for your website is a practical way to keep your web pages well organized.

Subdomains can be used in many different ways, for example, if you wish to promote different products using the existing domain that you already have, you may put each different products in separate subdomains as follow:

Product A: http://product-a.yourdomain.com

Product B: http://product-b.yourdomain.com

Notice that the subdomains ‘product-a’ and ‘product-b’ shown in the above example replaces the common prefix ‘www’ in the normal web address ‘http://www.yourdomain.com’

You may also create a subdomain and redirect it to a different web address such as your affiliate link. In this tutorial, we will show you how to create subdomains and redirection.
